production

The equipment I will be using for this project is hand held recording microphone and pop shield and that about it for the time being.

As for the equipment I will be using for making the sounds themselves I plan on using:

flapping of a birds wings - flapping fabric around.

kicking open a door - kick or hit a door, or table (pretty much anything that would sound like wood or door-like).

swoosh sounds -plastic pipe thing

smacking on the window - same as the door but with a different material to make it sound like glass

slide on window - slide my hand down a window

fall on the floor from a height - jumping sound could maybe work

running in a hallway - for this sound i will probably do what it actually is - basically i will run in a hallway

dog sniffing - just make sniffing noises

dog bark - immitate a dogo

bowl noise 1 sliding bowl - push a bowl across a counter

bowl noise 2 bowls clashing - do the same as the actual scene

hitting of a table -  do the same as the actual scene

claps - claps

freezing something - glass hitting each-other for a high pitched shiiingg noise

on the 24th of February i did some of the Foley for the first scene and what i did for most of the sounds was to do the actual things that make the sound for example the kicking of the door.

on the 28th of February the voices of Yang, Blake and Weiss were recorded in the sound booth at college and i edited it on the 3rd of march.

as for the editing of their voices i only kept it simple as the recordings were done at a good volume and mostly at the right speed for the scene.

As of present i only intend to do the first two scenes and no do the last one as there are some Foley noises which i don't think i can recreate with the resources i have and with the time i have.

I want this to be a project of quality rather than quantity.

for the voices, i made them quieten down at the end of some of them to make them flow better and i also edited the sound to the correct time and how i want them to be said/ phrased.

in the background of the second scene there is light happy guitar music which i plan of making as well, i think a ukulele will suite the theme of the scene.

and then the last things i need to do is add in my and my dad (who is voice acting qrow) as well and imputing the Foley sounds i made before.

other than that i need to add in the anticlimactic part of the scene.

for the audio i edited in audition i recorded it with two different microphones which does mean they would sound kind of different but its not extremely noticeable.

as for my current set up:

for the recording process we plan on using the app cubase which records music and vocals and has its own presets for sound.

Image result for cubase
me and my father recorded the sound on a microphone which is a surround sound sort of mic, that whenever you move left or right you can hear the movement.

for me and my dad's part and the ukulele part we used this mic, with the ukulele part the echo wasn't as noticeable but the with the speech you can really tell.

as for the ukulele music in the background my dad hadn't played the ukulele in months which made him lose any skill in playing that instrument but quickly came up with a tune as he plays the guitar regularly.
